New Hosting

I’ve had to move this blog to a new host, so expect some downtime while I figure things out. I picked up work on the GP01 again, but as I’m trying to do some new things with cut-outs and hinges, it’s taking its time….

  1. I happened to find this blog by chance, and I apologize for just randomly showing up just to ask some unrelated questions. I found the Neo Zeong build for which you utilized Createx paints, and due to my lack of leads (and lack of familiarity, since I don’t think we get these paints over in Chile…), I wanted to ask your thoughts on utilizing Createx’ Wicked Flair Silver Spectrum for a pearly white finish. I intend to airbrush the new Lancelot Albion HG kit, and I would love to get a fancy holographic white finish on it, but I have next to no clue how to achieve it… I would appreciate any suggestions, and once again I apologize for just showing up out of nowhere asking questions.

  2. Sorry this has taken me so long to see the comment and reply. I’d not updated the new hosting correctly, and thus was not seeing new comments had come in.

I’ve only used the Createx paints that I’ve shown on the various models, mostly the pearlescent paints. They’re a but of a pain to use, requiring careful thinning and good primer undercoat to work well on the models and adhere. They’re not “model” paints, and don’t behave like the Tamiya paints I love for general use. I use them for the special effects, and would not be using them otherwise. If you’re still reading the blog, please tell me how you got on.
