1/144 Barbatos is a great kit. It's not perfect, but there's masses of detail and it goes together well. I love that you get the massive hammer with it, as well as the sword.
I'm pretty happy with the mods and the beat-up rusty look.

After some final touches of Tamiya weathering master, Barbatos was ready for his Alclad flat coat. Final assembly was mostly painless, although his right shoulder armour did pop off and have to be glued on.
Here's some quick photos from the build area as it'll take me a little while to get set up for proper … Continue Reading ››
Now to what is getting to be my favourite part of a build - adding the oil paint.
I'm following a similar path to what I took on the Muv-Luv

After an extended break, I found some time at the weekend to get some work done on the 1/144 Barbatos.

Here's the frame all assembled. I doubt we'll see much of it, but I added some details in gold for fun, and gave the whole thing a nice flat coat which always works so well on top of Tamiya gunmetal. Continue Reading ››
The 1/144 RX-105 "Gundoom" arrived while I was building up Sazabi The Second. It's an interesting kit, so lets begin....
I didn't get the box so Hobbymate could keep the shipping costs down. The instructions have a good number of colour pages with nice photos of the … Continue Reading ››
The big guy is complete! But where to put him? He's too big for my desk and I don't think he'll fit on my high shelves. While I think on where he's going to go, let's take some photos! Continue Reading ››
