Unicorn has been a tricky build so far, not least because I'm masking and painting practically every white armour piece. I really like how the grey sections break up the armor without being too stand-out, and the Tamiya Weathering Master light gunmetal is working superbly on the edges to help bring out the detail.Continue Reading ››
Decided to begin work on the boosters as this would allow me to test some of the paint ideas I was going to use for the main model. Here you can see me gluing and sanding the boosters to remove their seam lines. It's such a shame … Continue Reading ››

I've been using the Createx white for this kit and it's working well. It's cheap … Continue Reading ››
I began with Valvrave I, but after looking carefully at the kit and stickers I decided to go with a full paint job. I know this will mean that I can't really use the logo stickers, but I reckon the end result will still look great. And … Continue Reading ››
I've decided to start on the Red Valvrave 1. Looking into the kit, I'm rather disappointed that the stickers for the logos are not on a clear background, which is going to make it tricky to do a nice painted build.
