#3 child helped me get the camera and lens set up on the 26th, ready for the eclipse on the 27th. He’s only 2, but he enjoyed carrying cables for me.

Here’s a shot we got later that evening. We’d taken it through the window, so that was one change we needed to do to allow us to get a sharper image. Also, it was very hard to spot the moon and track the camera image at 1400mm so I took one of the extenders off so that we were just at 1000mm.

 Now we’re set up through the open window.My eldest…  and #2 are ready to help!And finally the moon came out from behind the clouds.Unfortunately it went and hid again before the eclipse started, so we never got to see the red moon. Some of the pictures and movies I took from before the total cloud cover spoiled the show came out great though!
