1/100 Launcher Sword Strike part 6

The Sword pack first involved disassembling the left shoulder of the mech so you can extract the one part you need to build up the new shoulder. Why an extra piece could not have been provided I don’t know!DSC01180The new shoulder looks great, although there’s fit issues with the short sword handle. It’s tight to fit, and when I tried to gently trim the edge and I made it too loose. So I put some silver tape along the edge and that made it just right.DSC01181For the paint I used my usual Createx pearl blue with a coat of Tamiya clear blue for the dark blue sections. The light blue was made from Createx white and Createx pearl blue. DSC01183 The backpack uses a mix of paints – Tamiya gunmetal, Tamiya Smoke, Alclad chrome, Createx white, and the light blue I made earlier.DSC01185 The sword is a good size and you get a choice of blades.  I chromed up the blades with Uschi powder, masked then painted the rest white.DSC01187 DSC01188The backpack is pretty neat, and I can’t wait to get all the decals on so I can assemble this mech up!
